5:28am "Matt, what happened to him?" Anton asked, stupefied. "Good question..." he answered, obviously shaken. They had checked everywhere in the house for Peter, but they didn't even find a trace of him anywhere. He had just... disappeared. "So there was a... hand... coming out of the wall?" Claire still didn't believe it, not matter how much Matt and Lindsay assured her it was true. "Yes. It seemed to be made of bricks, but that's not possible," Lindsay tried to help solve where their teammate had gone. "Poor Peter." "Claire, I want you and Anton to run an analysis on the spot on the wall where we last saw Peter, between the two front windows. Lindsay, see if you can track down his friend. You should be able to find his name in the mailbox or something," Matt instructed them. "The primary concern now is to find Pete." Claire and Anton went to find Peter's briefcase of analysis equipment. Lindsay went to find the name of the house's proprietor, but Matt just stayed where he was.
"Andrew Jerry McArthor," Lindsay told the team who, except Peter, had all gathered around the table in the study again. "I called him at the Best Western hotel he was staying at. He's flying down from California. He should be here by the end of the day." "Anton, what did you and Claire find?" Matt wanted to know every detail. "There was one spot in the wall where there was three times the amount of radiation as anywhere else, but that's all we could find," he informed the Case Manager. "Lindsay, I want you to go pick Andrew up from the airport. Take my truck," Matt told her while handing her his keys. "Alright," she said while departing. "Matt, there's not that much we can do for now," Anton told him. "Yeah, I know," he said, downbeat. |
